Short Bio
Samuel is currently an Interdisciplinary Engineering PhD student at The Department of Multidisciplinary Engineering, Texas A & M University and works as a Teaching/Research Assistant. He was awarded a Fully Funded Scholarship by Petroleum Technology Development Fund (PTDF) for his MSc in Mechanical Engineering (Design and Production) at the University of Lagos, Nigeria. During his MSc., he co-authored 3 publications, centered on Subtractive Manufacturing. He had his B.Eng in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Federal University of Technology, Akure, Nigeria. He is Non-Destructive Testing II (Ultrasonic, Magnetic, Penetrant, and Radiographic Film Interpretation) certified and has over 5 years of working experience in the oil and gas industry as a Pipeline Inspection Engineer (NDT & Corrosion). His research interest lies in Design, Manufacturing, and Integrity examination using Non-Destructive Testing. He sees Additive Manufacturing (AM) becoming much more than we can imagine and his research focuses on contributing in an original manner to experimental research in Process -Structure – Property in AM. He likes to teach and coordinate teamwork. Parrots are his favorite pet; he finds them extremely intelligent and entertaining!
